Design Diplomacy is Over, It’s Time for Axe Throwing

It was a close competition between DCC Design Group and Tevebaugh Architecture this past week when we joined together for another friendly rivalry, this time at The Chop Shop at Kennett Square’s The Creamery! Although there weren’t any successful clutch shots from either team, we’re confident our best can challenge any inter-disciplinary team of design professionals in the Philly metro area.

Some of us are contemplating a semi-pro career, and there is also a strong possibility Tevebaugh and DCC Design will add an Axe Throwing event to this year’s BBQ on the Brandywine. Regardless, we’re already planning the next competitive inter-office competition!

Longwood Gardens Pop-up Luminary Nights

Three years ago, Longwood Gardens held their first Pop-Up Luminary event in the gardens. Now, three years later, the successful event has become more frequent and has a dedicated team of volunteers. So far in 2019 three pop-up luminary events have been held; the first was at the Italian Water Garden and was inspired by the forms of Queen Anne’s lace.

The second was in the Cow Lot (the green space to your left as you enter the gardens) and was inspired by concentric circles, much like a water droplet landing in a lake.
