Adjacent to the Wilmington Train Station, the new transit center has nine bus bays and stops for the DART buses to layover. Above the bus bays is structured parking for rental cars and public parking.

The design of the building is reminiscent of the Frank Furness-designed train station with brick, cast stone accents, and a hip roof vertical circulation tower. A student art competition provided the design for the transportation-themed public art banners which change from individual designs to a comprehensive design the full length of the building as you pass by the building.
